White Earns USAS Softball Player of the Year; Five Angels Honored

Playing most of the season at shortstop, White currently leads the USA South with a .802 slugging percentage, 93 total bases and 55 hits. She also ranks in the top-five of Conference hitters with a .474 batting average, a .522 on-base percentage, 34 runs scored, 12 doubles, four triples and six home runs.
In Conference-action alone, White has compiled a .458 batting average with a .819 slugging percentage thanks to eight doubles, three triples and four home runs. This marks White's first All-Conference selection as a shortstop. She earned first team honors as a second baseman in 2012 and third team accolades at the same position a year ago.
Fourth-year pitcher Amanda Beirne earned her fourth All-Conference honor on the second team. Beirne currently leads the nation with strikeouts and ranks second in wins, while leading in both categories among USA South players. In 30 complete games pitched she boasts a .242 earned run average, 177 strikeouts and 20 wins.
Saunders split her time this year between center field and second base and garnered third team honors as a utility player. Outfielder Ashley Green joined Saunders on the third team as both players earned her first All-Conference award.
Right fielder Friedman earned the team's selection to the All-Sportsmanship team.
